ESN Ukraine National Assembly: Lviv 2024

Event description:

In November 2024, Lviv became the epicenter of youth activism and international cooperation, hosting the Autumn National Assembly of the Erasmus Student Network Ukraine. This event, organized by the ESN IFNUL section with the support of the National Board, brought together representatives of ESN sections from all over the country to discuss strategic issues, share experiences, strengthen ties between participants, and hold elections for the new National Board.

The Assembly was held at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, one of the largest and oldest educational institutions in Ukraine. The location provided all the conditions for plenary sessions, workshops, and the election process, which emphasized the high level of organization of the event.

Lviv, a city that combines a rich history, cultural heritage, and modern dynamism, was the perfect place to host such a large-scale event. The organization of the Assembly allowed the participants not only to focus on professional issues but also to enjoy the atmosphere of the city, which is known for its cozy streets, architectural monuments, and hospitality.

Day 1: Opening and getting to know each other

Registration and welcome package
Participants received information materials and a detailed program of the event. The organizers made sure that everyone felt comfortable from the first moment.

Official opening ceremony
The opening ceremony took place at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The participants were welcomed by:

Panel discussion
The opening ceremony was followed by a panel discussion with representatives of the International Department of Lviv National University and Erasmus members. Important issues of international cooperation and mobility were discussed.

Presentation of local sections
Each ESN section presented its successes and initiatives, including projects implemented over the past year. Participants had the opportunity to discuss best practices and share innovative ideas.

Workshops and interactive sessions

Leadership at ESN: How to inspire and motivate the team.
Project management: From idea to implementation.
Inclusivity in international education.

Networking evening
On the first evening, an informal meeting was held where participants had the opportunity to get acquainted, share experiences and establish contacts.

Day 2: Plenary sessions, elections, and meeting the candidates

Presentation of candidates
On the second day, the candidates for the National Board positions presented themselves. Each candidate presented their program and ideas for the development of ESN in Ukraine.

Presentation of local sections
After the election, each local section presented its initiatives and achievements, and new opportunities for cooperation were discussed.

Voting for the candidates
After the presentation of the candidates, the voting for the elected candidates for the National Board took place.

Networking evening
The second evening was also dedicated to networking, where participants continued to get acquainted, exchange contacts and ideas.

Day 3: Closing and summarizing

Election results and summarizing
On the third day, the results of the National Board elections were announced. After that, the general results of the work were summarized and the directions of development for the next year were discussed.

International guests presented their sections
Guests from other countries, representing ESN, presented their local sections and talked about projects planned for 2025.

Closing networking
Finally, participants had the opportunity to network with international guests and exchange ideas for future projects.

Performance by the Cheremosh Ensemble
One of the highlights of the day was the performance of the famous Ukrainian folk ensemble Cheremosh. The ensemble's dance and musical performances created a festive atmosphere and left an unforgettable impression on everyone present.

The event ended in a solemn atmosphere, with thanks to the organizers and volunteers for their support and assistance.
