Autumn National Assembly 2025
Expanding the ESN Ukraine network to five full sections while shaping strategic priorities and exploring Erasmus+ opportunities in Chernivtsi.

From 7 to 9 November 2025, ESN Ukraine held its Autumn National Assembly in Chernivtsi, bringing together around 100 students, volunteers and youth representatives from Ukraine and across Europe. Hosted by ESN Chernivtsi in a hybrid format, the Assembly took place at the Scientific Library of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
Over three days, participants discussed the network's development, elected new national leadership and explored opportunities for international mobility. The Assembly also marked an important milestone in ESN Ukraine's expansion.
ESN Odesa Becomes a Full Section
One of the Assembly's most significant decisions was the admission of ESN Odesa as a full member section of ESN Ukraine. Based at Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University, the team successfully completed its journey from candidate status to full membership.
The decision followed the admission of ESN IFNUL and ESN LPNU at the Spring National Assembly in Lviv earlier that year. With Odesa joining, ESN Ukraine grew to five full sections across four cities: Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi and Odesa.
A New National Board Elected
The Assembly also held elections to the National Board, the team responsible for coordinating ESN Ukraine's activities and representing the organisation nationally and internationally.
Dariia Beliaieva was elected President of ESN Ukraine, while Anastasiia Pasheshniak was elected Vice-President. Both represent Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
Alongside the elections, delegates participated in strategic discussions on the organisation's priorities, cooperation between sections and the future development of student mobility in Ukraine.
Erasmus+ Opportunities and Youth Engagement
The programme featured training sessions, workshops and discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine and Study in Ukraine, as well as international guests.
Kateryna Zhdanova, representing the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, introduced opportunities for students and young people through Erasmus+. Her presentation covered academic exchanges, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's programmes, youth exchanges and volunteering, with particular attention to opportunities available to Ukrainians during the war.
Participants also explored intercultural cooperation, youth leadership and volunteering. ESN Odesa volunteers contributed to the programme with a workshop on creative thinking as a meta-skill.
Connecting Students Across Ukraine
Beyond the existing sections, the Assembly welcomed participants from universities in Ternopil and Zhytomyr, highlighting growing interest in the Erasmus Student Network across Ukraine.
The event was supported by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the EU Information Centre in Chernivtsi and the Youth and Sports Department of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration.
Through shared decisions, practical learning and new connections, the Autumn National Assembly strengthened cooperation within ESN Ukraine and created new opportunities for the network's continued growth.
