Three years ago, on February 24, 2022, Ukraine faced the unimaginable. Our world was turned upside down, but through pain and loss, we found strength in each other. In the midst of uncertainty, we discovered resilience. Ukrainian youth, despite everything, kept going: some fought to defend their country, others volunteered to rebuild, and many continued their education in the face of adversity.
Universities resumed classes in shelters, exchange students became Ukraine’s voice abroad, and ESN volunteers built support networks for displaced youth. We are deeply grateful for the global solidarity that reminds us: empathy knows no borders.
Today, as we honor the bravery and resilience of the youth, let’s stand together for a peaceful and hopeful future, because the strength of our dreams and our unity is what always leads us forward.
